We've come a long way

From rainy days of running tears

To crushed bouquets of starry affairs

And windy roads dwindling to moonlit climes

Silhouetted promises in barren times

We’ve come a long way

Through ups and downs, trials and mistrials

Heartbreaks and headaches and languorous denials

Hard times when the tests were too great

Like writing an exam before being taught the lesson; it sealed our fate

We came, we saw, we conquered

We’ve come a long way

So,
This is my subtle farewell

Love the originality. For some strange reason it imbues me with a deep sense of loss. Thats probably due to my own personal experience :(
